This app is fantastic! Works like Netflix great on iPad

Plex has dropped the ball with supporting a holistic home theatre ecosystem. The app no longer properly acts like a remote with no control over sound and scrubbing glitches, also cant pause and restart playback if you exit the app. The remote buttons dont register up and down to open onscreen menu. The watch later section has never been fixed after watching a video it remains there for years now and no way to remove it. Debating cancelling Plex pass and moving to Kodi.

I cant live without this app. Plex kills Netflix. I dont work for Plex but I wish I did. Btw, Im a front end developer if youre hiring.

I have a Mac Mini that pretty much runs PLEX 24/7. I have been using this all day and love it. I can stream to my iPhone and iPad.

The app requires the plex media server (free download) to be installed on a Mac that essentially should be on all the time. No windows version available. Setting up everything so it can see your video, music and photos plus remote access on your iPhone/iPad need a person who is familiar and comfortable with media centers and not afraid of searching forums. The app has lots of potential but still buggy in some areas especially with the iPad (in landscape mode). Performance over 3G even in Tokyo is sluggish. Air video is a better app at streaming videos if that is all you need. Plex opens the door to photos and music. Overall, the app is buggy but workable and should improve over time. If you cant set up the media server then this app will be totally useless to you.

Best app ever. I can stream movies on my pc to my iPhone, iPad and tv via Hulu Xserve.

The app I use the most, awesome

I love the PLEX solution. Streaming to iPhone and iPad is flawless and starts immediately. I run the server on a MacMini 24/7 and it is easy to install and setup, creating your favorite categories of films and connected with many streaming channel services. Each user on the MacMini can have their own movie library, but the user has to be logged in so you cannot stream from two users at same time.

japanese subtitle in movies is not correct. plz fix it.

There is no close second. Ive been using Plex for years now. It gets better with each revision. I will never use another media player.

I do not organize my photos and music with file names!! My library is a mess!! Why are they doing this?!?!

これまでPCに入っているファイルをPS3MediaServerでNAS化、DLNAクライアントとしてPS3やiPhoneを使って視聴していたが、PCのスペック不足もありカクついていた。 QNAPのNAS・TS-219PとChromecastを購入し、NASにPlexを導入したのを機にこちらのPlex for iOSを使ってみた。かなり軽快で感動している。課金すればWifi外でも視聴できるし、Chromecastでも見れるし言うことない。日本語対応は不十分だが、文字化けは少ないのであまり気にならない。オススメです。
